FREIGHT TRAFFIC & TRACTION: D1015 Western Champion on hire to GB Railfreight working welded rail and ballast trains; Freightliner’s 86605 & 86632 hauling GBRf’s Carlisle-Mossend infrastructure trip; Northern Belle liveried 47832 delivering a rake of new intermodal wagons to Daventry; 57306 rescuing two failed Colas 66s on a ballast train; 55022 Royal Scots Grey hauling a rake of Network Rail wagons from Carlisle to Kilmarnock; heritage-liveried 73205 & 73208 working the Northfleet-Willesden Crossrail spoil; 92041 on Royal Mail duties; 37261 single-handedly rescuing 66302 on the Coatbridge-Daventry intermodal; 20312 hauling a welded rail train from Doncaster to Hexham; the rare sight of a pair of Class 70s working in multiple; former Dutch and German Class 66s enter traffic for GBRf; overhauled and unbranded 60066 hauling a rake of Seacow wagons for scrapping; 60001 returns to traffic after more than six years; red stripe Railfreight duo 20118 & 20132 join the GBRf fleet...and the end of fuel traffic to the FGW depots at Bristol, Plymouth and Penzance.

PASSENGER TRACTION, RAILTOURS & SPECIALS: 37405 & 37425 working East Midlands Trains services between Derby and Crewe; FGW’s 57605 en-route to Kilmarnock hauling HST stock for refurbishment; DRS’ 57302 hauling Virgin’s Mark 3 ‘Pretendolino’ set over the Chilterns; 20142 departing from London Underground’s Uxbridge station; 47580 becomes the first of its Class to work over the Bluebell Railway; 67024 dragging the Sky One HD set over the Tyne Valley route; former Wrexham & Shropshire liveried 67015 on the Orient Express; D1015 on charters to Weymouth and Carlisle...and the first HSTs to visit the Swanage and East Lancashire Railways.
